Pat ubs put their report yesterday morning on 1st call. Here is few key points: Expect adsl rfp desicion to be made by BT by the end of this month. Consider Alcatel the front runner, with Nortel/Westell as being 2nd possible choice Bell Atlantic is closer to make their choice which is probably westell 97 is still a trial year BT deal is $10M initially with potential of upto $500M over the next 3-5 years CAP vs DMT is not a mojor issue for BT -- either one would do Westell has a chance with BT only because of the possible merger of BT and MCI Bell Atlantic appears to be the only company that is firmly behind the CAP line code and Westell is the furthest along in offering CAP ADSL modems A delay in ADSL commercial deployment until 1998 or later will work against Westell. An early deployment in 97 will favor Westell. That is all folks. Lets delay adsl till 98. :-)) Regards -Albert
