5. The Bible says that the Bible is inspired by God (II Timothy 3:16, I Peter 1:21).
Untrue Santiago. The Bible has no self reference. It's a collection of 66 books that were never meant to be a collection. Let's look at the verses you supplied:
2 Timothy 3:16: Oh my friend. I believe you forgot to read the verse right before 2 Timothy 3:16, which says:
Since you were a child you have studied the scripture. All scripture inspired by God, and is profitable for doctrine for reproof, for correction, for instruction, in rightesouness
Why is that important? When Timothy was a child, the only scripture which existed was the Old Testament. This verse cannot refer to any of the New Testament since none of it had been written when Timothy was a child.
Now lets look at Peter 1:21
Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory, that your faith and hope might be in God
No where in this verse does it mention the Bible or its contents. So my statement still stands: The Bible never mentions that it is inspired by God. The Bible never refers to itself in the entire book. Not once. The Book had no divine guidance to be put together. The Coucnil in 357 CE that decided to form the Bible into the form it has today did so without divine guidance. The books they chose were not all inspired by God and the proof of that is in the fact the Bible does not ever give proof for itself.
