Whoever spoke to Muhammad was not the same God that Christians worship, can we both agree to this

First the issue of "same God." Muslims only believe in ONE God, the Creator of the Universe and Earth. The SAME God that created Adam, Noah, Moses, Jesus, etc. (PBUA) and all of humanity. If there is ONLY One God that Christianity and Islam believe in, then we CANT worship different gods (notice lower capitalization).
Second is this point: Read carefully the verse I quoted:Deuteronomy 18:20
But The Prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.
According to THIS verse, it doesn't matter if the prophet speaks in God's name OR in "other gods." So the verse automatically takes away your objection that Muslims worship a "different God" since the verse refers to both God and "other gods."
How do you explain this Chris? Why wasn't Muhammad (Pbuh) killed? According to this verse, he should have been. Do you suppose God forgot? Didn't remember his promise?
