I have no links, but I do remember that the guy's name was
something like Robert Wilson. He's been written up in collections
of profiles of highy sucessful investors.
The casino craze is one parallel. Another might the the
first run-up in stocks like NTSP in 1996.

AMZN may be different in that there's more mutual fund
ownership. It would be interesting to know if there's a
lot of short interest by hedge funds, as opposed to shorting
in retail accounts.

I have no position now. If I were going to do anything,
my head says to buy and play the mania from the look of the
chart. But my gut turns into a pretzel at the thought.
If you're convinced that it will crater, the deep OTM puts
look very cheap.
