I don't think any value could be added to TDFX by buying nVidia. NVidia is using a very different approach to 3-D acceleration, and at this point it looks like they picked the wrong way to go. The architecture used by VooDoo / Banshee is one of the big reasons that I bought into TDFX - once the rest of the industry recognizes how superior it really is to all of the other designs I think we will be in fat city.
