AMTX folded because they were out of money. believe me, if they could have found financing, they would have remained independent, or at least TXN would not have been able to purchase them at 20.

now, you say you doubt WSTL can produce at a lower cost that ALA. that may have been true in the past, but i think the cost model has shifted in favor of integrators, and away from vertically integrated solutions.

a lack of dependence on anyone can be good if your products and cost structure are the best. i dont think ALAs are.
