If THAT is true, I'd like to see it. I check ORCL's news releases every day, and I never see earnings revisions that are dropped dramatically just beforehand. IF I did, I would have jumped ship at 32... I checked back quite a ways, and never saw any revisions prior to announcement, as you claim. If you have some unknown source, I'd love to see it. As far as I have been able to determine, checking all my back data, the estimates that ORCL has beaten were dropped quite a while ago...primarily the quarter in which they missed by a nice margin (October, wasn't it?)...people went nuts to lower estimates...and many were claiming it wasn't enough...only ORCL was claiming it was too much, in some cases. And they were right.
