Trevor,
Boom is a base metal play with potential for massive zinc, lead, & iron sulfide mineralization. The nearby Kap project also showed very high levels of cadmium, germanium and gallium in a similar environment. The massive sulfide showings at Boom are in Mid Devonian carbonate rocks, a similar setting to the Pine Point Mine setting. The general class of volcanic and sediment hosted base metal massive sulfide deposits in the North American Cordillera (and Abitibi Belt down east) seems to be the type enjoying much of the exploration activity this summer, especially the precious metal rich ones (eg/ Grayd, Western Copper, Farallon) In the Firesteel exploration area we have to substitute Ge and Ga potential for Au-Ag. However these metals are trading in the $300-600 US/kg range and can be significant. For example, at Kap their "in situ metal value" is often greater than the associated base metals.

Glad to see you are following this program.

Ian
