Motives, yes you can never tell, as each situation is different. But, by absorbing all of the facts, surrounding circumstances, and even rumors (as many rumors have a small element of truth in them), one can develop a reasonable conclusion. Here is mine...
1. A confused situation, will keep most investment dollars away, as any money invested in any bb, should be purely risk capital. 2. Pickin his nose is the son to T. Boone (The oil guy). 3. Keeping the stock depressed makes it difficult to raise capital. If J. Spriggs' primary motivation is to get a plant built and DF-144, he would be naturally concerned about this in his negotiations.
Do you think that it is possible that a man with access to cash and contacts in the oil industry would have his eye on DF-144 ?
One could even hedge here, buy MIDL cheaply as well. Was there not some unusual (given circumstances) buying of the p's recently (6/26, 6/29).
