Anyone think THQI+MPRS make any sense? Honestly I don't. The business culture of MPRS drastically different from THQI's small but efficient model. MPRS has more than double the work force than THQI and burn 60% more money every quarter. I wonder how BF will manage the combined workforce, large scale layoff? It is going to be a big challenge for Brian.

There are only two positive reasons I can think of:
1) MPRS has large accumulate losses which can be used to reduce THQI's tax rate.
(in that case, MPRS may appear to be a bargain even for its -1.66 book value)

2) MPRS has strong PC game background but due to the intense competition, PC games may not be profitable as one may wish. MPRS didn't do particular great during good time, the time it still traded at $30 with symbol SBYT (split adjusted).

jmo I think ERTS would be a better candidate to buy MPRS.

Have a nice weekend.
