6 years ago, I began building spec houses. They sold. The market was good......My homes appraised for 15 to 20% more than folks were paying......and they were of very high quality. I only used the most well established subcontractors. I took care of any problems in a timely fashion.

I don't build spec homes anymore. I'm building homes for friends of the folks who bought my spec homes. I don't advertise...I don't speak at seminars....I sponsor little league and charity events. I could do 2x the volume if I cared to. (I don't)

Quality, value and service.......There is a right way to do it.......and all of the other ways. IDX has done it, and is doing it the right way.

Get that Thompsons on that deck ASAP, Bubba.......and look forward to the annual "Thompson party"........That's why I love concrete!

ps. Cary.....NRID is sponsoring the Banking on Biometrics conference. I believe this may be one reason Fowler would not be involved. I don't believe Mr. Super G and Fowler had much respect for one another. Fowler may have thought that Mr. G was not a good manager or thinker.....and that he would eventually run NRID into the ground.......costing shareholders dearly. Mr. Super G is gone now...so perhaps next year on this conference.
