Personally, I have a hard time with all of this kind of talk about laying up supplies and what not just in case the mother of all disasters hits.

I helped a friend of mine clean out his grandparents home when his grandmother (or was it his grandfather, well one of them) was finally placed in a rest home because she or he was no longer able to properly take care of themselves.

They had gallons of motor oil, kerosene, bulk food stuffs and all manner of survivalist types of supplies. So what good did it do them? Yes, they were prepared, but what it was they were prepared for never happened, at least not within the time frame where they could make use of all their due diligence.

So the world is coming to an end is it. Forgive me for being outwardly skeptical, but I've been hearing this kind of talk for over 20 years and what has happened. I think one runs a very high risk in participating in this type of thinking. There are so many variables that one just cannot anticipate, should the worst case scenerio come to pass.

I know this means quite a lot to you, and I'm not trying to make light of it, but what happens if, say 20 or 30 years from now what seemed so inevitable doesn't come to pass. How will you be able to justify it all?

I'm not going to start getting worried until they start rebuilding the temple in Israel.

BTW, I wonder what kind of mindset the people had during the great depression.
