<<Six Billion Dollar Stock>> and the new wave of investment strategy

most high-tech stocks are at or near their 52 wks lows, look at intc, altr, orcl, amat, lsi, etc. etc.; more so for the small caps. Of a few hundred silicon valley stocks, only a handfull of high-tech stocks are near their highs and most (~90%) are down in the dumps. Looks like most high-techs are not enjoying with the overall mkt. Exception to this is the Internet related stocks. The new y2k investment strategy seems to be to go for the highest PEs (in fact the new strategy now is the higher the better) or negative PEs as long as the company said or just hinted that ther're doing business on the Internet. It's the "y2K Turbo-Charged Momentum Investment Plan" - the pitch is something like - put 10$ in 98 and will be a million$ in yr 2000. Beats the hell out of the dogs of the dow.
