Damn I love this company. Tom Engibous and company just keep making all the right moves. focusing money and effort of increasing the speed of converters will lead to new applications in rtos development. ADI will bew growing but TI will be dominative. The only thing we lack is the new floating point chip and we will be better in cores mixed signal third party support asic development software and tooling. With the revenues from the new dsp/dsps msrkets the rev/earnings should begin to accelerate as the board/ COTS are made available and designed into oem applications. We are going to sell alot of high end dsp cores.
Who is there to challenge TI? ADI... not alone. LU/MOT not based on current dsp know how. siemens/IBM unlikely intc not without some major reorginization and a big acquisition or two. So where do we go from here. Growth by expansion into new apps. new oem partners new asic designs. The possibilities are endless. A final point the market is going to be huge for dsp's. The consolidation of the industry is inevitable. Perhaps a strategic acquisition of complementary dsp company could accelerate growth and improve margins. Any thoughts/ ideas re take out targets? synergistic/accretive/improved margins and improved roe for r&d/ marketing/ and general overhead/and market share
