I have been a silent observer of this board for a couple of months. There are a few things I would like to clarify. I am an institutional broker to some of the heaviest hitters on the street, many of whom are short AMZN and have also added heavily to their position up here $100+. The stock is borrowable at the major firms to these accounts although there is no short rebate(for those of you who are sophisticated enough to know what that is). This stock will eventually collapse just as KTEL, MU, WDC, PTEN, CHK, and many other stocks that many thought could not go down. AMZN may hit 150 who knows, but I know FOR SURE that these institutional players that account for a large percentage of the short interest have been stung badly already but are still there and adding to current positions. The volume is 90% day traders. As for Vinik look at all the other companies that he has mooooooed upwards and then totally collapsed anyone remember VVUS. Short and proud of it.
