Murphmeister spoke with Xoma last week. In the latest CTSL he lists the following target dates : September - Safety Review December - Phase III trial ends March 99 - 90 Day followups complete & unblind data June 99 - New Drug Application Xoma was also missing from the Best New Trades list. It was on the Best New Trades list last issue for the first time in a long time. My thoughts/interpretation is that he thinks the stock will not move higher until much later this year based on the above schedule. CTSL did not perform very well last year and he seems to be focussing on stocks that will have news in the short term vs. a stock that should have good news (we hope) next year. My only wish is that he was taking this approach in Feb 1997 when he began heavily hyping XOMA stock.
