It doesn't say that every time someone copies or translates the bible it would be done perfectly. No, but Isaiah 40:8 says God's words will STAND FOREVER. It doesn't say "For a Long Time." Again, this isn't a subjective subject. There is no interpretation on your part but you're trying to give interpretation to the verse. Isaiah 40:8 testifies that God's words will stand forever. There is no way to interpret this verse in any way other than this: God's words will never die (Agree or Disagree?) 1. Now, if God's words will never die, then this means God's words will never be changed (Agree or Disagree?) 2. If God's words will never be changed, then contradictions in the Bible cannot be from God (Agree or Disagree?) The verse doesn't say that God's words would not live through translations. It does not say God's words will be altered in manuscripts. It does not say copyist errors would creep in. It says that no matter what, God's words will stand forever and to try to interpret that verse without giving justification is impossible. Ray
