Hopefully, the children in Florida are not too frightened.

I remember a forest fire, when I was a youngster and 400 miles from home at a summer camp. We watched the sky change color and smelled the smoke. The camp counselors tried to reassure us by saying we would be okay, but when the sky LOOKED like that, HOW were we going to be safe? They didn't say, "if the fire reaches __, we will all leave camp. There will be enough time."

In the end, we were safe.

I wish you well.

Our thoughts and prayers continue for those in Florida.
