Question: would the "input needs changing" information also work on the BNS with MACd trigger scan when the error message says "Could not open the input file" for portfoli.lst ?
Yes. Remove the input by deleting it or putting two slashes in front ot if. If you do that, the scan will run on the whole database. You could also substitute your own input file.
Also, if the error message says "Scan syntax error, unexpected letter" and the cursor is highlighting a certain letter, is the problem what it is pointing to? (e.g. Cooper scan by Richard highlights the s in scan as it shows S instead of s)
"Cooper Scan by Richard Estes" should have two slashes in front of it. That's not really part of the scan, but just the title. Sorry about the error. It should be:
//Cooper Scan by Richard Estes
I fail to see the humor in your flippant remarks about air-traffic control. They were entirely inappropriate, particularly during this busy weekend of holiday travel.
I didn't intend my remarks to be humorous. I make every effort in my notes to stick to the facts. If there has been a misunderstanding concerning my career, I apologize. I strive to be ever-vigilant at my radar screen, especially during holiday weekends, when the market is closed. My colleagues and I do test scans during these periods, of course, but we've had few "near misses" as a result of this work. It's somewhat ironic that we seek in our scans exactly what we're trying to avoid in air-traffic control: hits. We make every effort not to get confused, sometimes with handy post-it notes on our screens.
