For all new or prospective MTEI investors:
Just a word of caution to do your own research and satisfy your own comfort levels before investing. Sometimes on the internet we are exposed to false or misleading information from supposedly reputable sources which can sway opinions and cause confusion. For instance, the Stock Detective article which mentioned MTEI is still being dredged up on other threads is clearly one of those sources of misinformation.
The company Mountain Energy is brand new and was created by purchasing a largely floundering shell of a company (ICVI) in order for a private group to quickly become a publicly-trading company. In the past few weeks, Mountain Energy has begun to carry out the plan of studying, acquiring, and preparing land for the express purpose of exploiting the land for the fossil fuel energy resources contained therein. A good deal of the information in the stock detective article is incorrect, including the current investor relations people whom the stock detective apparently relied heavily upon to gather the sketchy data which comprised the majority of the article. For me, the following disclaimer tells the story...
From the stock detective:
An excerpt from their disclaimer: "Axxess, Inc. and its information partners make no representations as to accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the information on this site."
It's interesting to note the stock detective bashes MTEI for being a non-reporting company, yet Axxess, the company which owns the stock detective is not a reporting company either. Not included in the article is the fact MTEI plans to file with the SEC when it has had ample time to establish its business. In any case, according to the disclaimer above, it seems accuracy is not a high priority to the stock detective.
If you want reliable information about Mountain Energy, call the company and ask questions. Do some DD on Stagg Engineering, or the West Virginia properties, or the members of the MTEI management team. Or here's some good homework -- track the fate of ICVI as it became MTEI and see what really happened. Several unscrupulous or uninformed people have tried to tie the former ICVI activities with the new MTEI energy plan, but as you will see, they are totally distinct entities -- no common management, no common business activities.
Plenty of solid DD has already been done, and reading the Mountain Energy INFO thread is a good start. A group of investors will be visiting the Houston office later in July and speaking directly with the MTEI management team regarding company activities. Questions regarding the visit can be directed to Tod C (author of the thread header and organizer of the company visit). |
