AS best I know TI is not yet the only player in the dsp court. At last report holding less than 50 % market share. This is all before the new focus at TI> BTW I appreciate your loyalty to your former workplace. I also appreciate your wisdom re falling in love. I am for the most part not an emotional investor. I truly believe that TI is in the driver's seat pun intended. That dsp market will grow much faster than even Wil Strauss [forward concepts] conceives. That to build a truly world class dsp company takes more than money and size. Witness lu mot losing market share to adi. they have lots of dsp talent money but lack IMO focus and vision. That intc ibm want like siemens and many others into the dsp business is no suprise given its growth potential. The hard facts are that a truly gifted dsp guy comes alone once in a while to have all the pieces dsp cores tooleing coders decoders algorithm libraries asic designes mixed signal light/electric/memory/motor control people all under TI flag makes them the Michael of the dsp league. No doubt others will challenge and times will see change. but based on current strategies and more important execution I think Ti may well be in a position to grow into the INTC of dsp. Good luck to you too and by the way alyd is located near me be happy to share impressions with you.
