The people involved in this company, as you have correctly pointed out, are very, very savvy in not only the music business, but most importantly, technology and the internet. On the technology side, a core group from PGP (who basically wrote the book on encryption) are involved. Network Associates bought out PGP, and at least one PGP "technologist" left NETA and a lot of guaranteed stock options (not to mention a fat salary) behind to join GoodNoise because the opportunities seem boundless at this new startup. What Amazon.com has done for books, this upstart stands an excellent chance of doing for "downloadable" music and CD's. In addition, the company will be bringing forth brand new, cutting edge musical groups that have never been heard from on any sort of wide scale, which means fresh content on a continuous basis. Admittedly, this is a startup and a speculative play...but if they pull it off, the stock should soar. I'm a buyer at these levels based on my belief that these guys are either going to succeed big time, or they will be bought out by another player for far more than the stock is selling for today.
As for moving the site, it really should be over in the Web/Information sector with the internet stocks. Since you started the site, why not go to Web/Information and re-create what has been posted here thusfar, then come back here and post a note to the effect that the site has moved...this ought to do it. |
