When NSCP tanked to $16, almost everyone predicted that it would keep performing poorly. Now everyone finally understood that this was a dying company that would be lucky to break even. Only a few grudgingly admitted that they would load up if it made it to single digits.

Now the conventional wisdom is that it will keep on plugging ahead. Everyone seems to understand now that like YHOO, NSCP will just take off on market psychology and the magic of the portal. I have always thought NSCP was a great company, and more so today than ever. But...money doesn't grow on trees, and the next few earnings reports should bring everybody back to earth.

I swear, tomorrow a startup could come out tomorrow called Infoscape! and with a press release a day and a good webmaster pump its market cap to $10 bil before anyone figured out that they had nothing but IPO money.
