I also own both the STB Riva 128 and the Pure 3D II LX. The writer says if you have the Riva then you don't need the V2. I completely disagree. You get much smoother action, faster response, brighter, crisper screen details, and no glitches. The writer talked about tweeking the Riva which in my opinion is a misuse of the word. A tweek is a small action that you may take to slightly fine tune performance. With the RIVA, I had to use a non-Riva home grown program someone wrote to fix the darkness problem with Quake2. RIVA did not put out a patch to improve the color in the 6 months that I owned it. If you notice the difference pre and post "tweaking" you will see that its' a difference between playable and hardly playable. This is one reason why I've invested in the company long term, TDFX puts out quality products that meet expectations, the others don't. Who would you want to buy from? Joe C.
