Chuck, There is quite a bit of info under Ligand Breakout (SI has asked that the Ligand posts get consolidated) although the subjects bounce around a bit. LGND presented at the Robertson Stephens conference yesterday (and Robby Stephens issued a BUY rec last week), but much of the volume was probably related to the Biotech Boom! which began yeaterday (led by recs or nes from CNTO, ISIP, and VICL). CNTO trading topped 5 ,illion yesterday (and the Morgan Stanley rec for CNTO was remarkable similar to the Robby Stephens rec for LGND - a $1/2 Billion market for drugs that go on sale in 1998). I expect the trend to continue (I just heard that Forbes has LGND in its cuurent, Dec 16, issue). I have predicted that LGND will set an all time high (above 19 3/4), by the end of January. We'll see, but the prediction (made a month ago) looks better than ever. Henry
