Nobel Laureate, Dr. Kary Banks Mullis, honored in 1993 with the Nobel Prize in chemistry for his invention of PCR, a technique that has radically changed microbiology, has accepted a VIP Technical Advisory Committee post, with San Diego's, XyclonyX / a U.S. Microbics wholly-owned subsidiary. After receiving his undergraduate degree from Georgia Tech, and his doctorate in Biochemistry, from University of California, Berkeley, Mullis did post-doctoral work in Kansas and San Francisco. Best-known for his invention of PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction), his successful participation in the ensuing litigation between behemoth giants Cetus and DuPont, and his receipt of the 1993 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, Mullis' expert testimony has made prime-time (with participation in the O.J.Simpson Trial), as have his business endeavors, which range from much-sought-after biochemistry-consultant-to-the-industry-giants, University of South Carolina, Distinguished Visiting Professor, part ownership of an oil-recycling business in Charleston, SC, .to eagerly-awaited book entitled Dancing Naked in the Mind Field, due for a September, 1998, release and published by Pantheon Books, Division of Random House.
