RF Industries Ltd. receives $650,000 order for digital receivers

 SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 4, 1996--

Wireless digital receivers will be used for the

 nation's new emergency alert system

RF Industries Ltd Wednesday announced that its Neulink Telemetry Division has received a $650,000 add-on contract for its
 wireless digital data receivers.

Donald Catledge, president and general manager of RFI's Neulink Division, said, "The $650,000 order, scheduled to ship early
in 1997, raises Neulink's current backlog to over $1.5 million, compared to $392,000 at Dec. 1, 1995. This is an excellent
 beginning for fiscal 1997."

Catledge noted that the rack-mounted, multichannel (AM/FM/UHF) digital receivers are being used by radio, television and
cable broadcasters, and emergency services for the new U.S. Emergency Alert System (EAS) and said, "This receiver should
sell well throughout the coming year, as broadcasters upgrade their equipment to comply with Federal Communication
 Commission (FCC) standards."
