Hi,
This is the simple statement of what they're working on taken from their web site. To the best of my knowledge, splicing of single strand DNA has not been previously achieved without subsequent cell death.

CYGS is an emerging bioscience Research and Development company. The primary focus in 1996 -1997 has been cellular biology and genetics with particular emphasis on telomeres. In April '97, CSI acquired the
rights to a patented vector that can create a single strand of DNA in the body (in vivo) to repair telomeres shortened during cell division (mitosis) in all eukariotic cells. The research is in the pre-clinical laboratory phase. This "Processive Elongation of Telomeric Repeats" (PETR) protocol promises significant applications in anti-aging (geriatrics) and cancer (oncology) therapies.
