Actually SI has a thread so that these people can get together and make fun of others
mistakes. I think that is a good idea. Get the hypster, pump and dumpers, shorters, and
compulsive language perfectionist off the streets.

I hope you don't mean the Grammar thread! Most of the people there are just lovers of words who ask dumb questions of each other that other people find strange and obscure and meaningless. THe Grammar thread isn't about making fun of others at all--in fact, it's one of the few threads around currently where consideration and tact still prevail! Please, please don't include it with the shorters and hypsters and other riffraff.

I readily admit that language perfectionism is an obsessive-compulsive disorder and one from which I suffer, but I hope I do so inoffensively. Feel free to castigate publicly me if I EVER say anything hurtful to someone about their spelling or grammar! And be kind when I screw up words!
