It is tuff being the grown child of a Berkeley English major who became a teacher. UGH!! Ooooo---that would be tough...did you rebel? For a while Ammo said "like" every other word. We thought it was intentional---a passive-aggressive expression of his teenage disdain for the authority figures in his life, lawyer father and writer mother. But then we heard his friends---they ALL talk like that, especially when they're together. I'm glad to hear you say that about feeling sorry for attackees. And of course, I never thought you were attacking at all!! Your nice reputation precedes you. I really have had a problem with SI at times because of the outright cruelty I've seen occasionally. I think it's pretty rare to find it here at DAR and you can be on the committee that oversees enforcement of our niceness code. Except that Freddy's exempt. He does what he wants, but you can also insult him with impunity. The refrigerator man can probably buy and sell most of us.
