Interesting rumour.

It certainly could be seen to be consistent with the enterprise strategy. It has the same flavour as the Visigenic acquisition: a company with good technology in a space that is an essential part of an enterprise development scenario.

However, my belief is that they would be crazy to tie themselves into a small - albeit technologically sound - player in the UML space, when there are greater advantages in staying agnostic. And I suspect the market would react similarly to the Visi situation.

Fortunately, it doesn't quite fit the description of a "services company", which we have been told is the next target.
