Paul,

There is nothing wrong with Xeon servers other than the cost of the CPUs. Compaq will be able to build higher performance Alpha boxes at much lower cost however.

Compaq will also be able to easily convert to K-7 parts because of the Alpha bus. More bad news for Intel.
