Yes Pete, those were the days. Brinker hosted the original
Moneytalk programs every Saturday 6 to 10 am from October
1981 to 1982 then switched to the 10 am to 2 pm timeslot
until he got the call to join the ABC Radio Network.
Many callers on recent Moneytalk programs have referred back
to the "Gift Horse of the Century" buy signal Brinker issued
on WMCA in August 1982 at Dow 788 on August 14. Too bad
everybody in the country couldn't listen back then, but
WMCA broadcasts in New York City with a 5000 watt signal
that only covers the New York Metro area. And do you remember
which mutual fund he told everybody to buy? It was 20th Century
Ultra...which has gone up so much since then I have lost count!
