Rob, I hope you'll join us in the future also, as SI is the best place to talk investment, IMO.

Vi, I absolutely share your view that it is prudent to not commit any new money to Russia at this moment: The tax code passage in the Duma was a half-hearted effort at best. I continue to be skeptical as to enhanced (tax)revenues in the near term, and external (IMF) funding cannot continue forever.

There is nothing lost in waiting for a clearer picture. Let others be heroes in Russia for now <g>. Generally, I think things will ultimately work out, Russia will continue the path towards reform etc. IMO, one can safely write Communism off.
