The resistance is not strongly linked. Drug resistance patterns emerge from mis-use - Drs prescribing anti-microbeals without doing any lab work cause the patients expect the Dr to give the sick kid something so I don't have to stay home, to not completing therapy (feeling better after day 7 of a 14 day course), to underdosing (less the the MIC - Minimum Inhibitory Concentration) & missed doses. Pathogens are adaptive so yes, eventualy there will be resistance, but probably further down the road & less widespread. IMSCO Scott
