Hmmm Alan Greenspan - leader of the financial free world. I do not remember an election in Canadian or any other nation nominating him the leader of the "global title". But most non-Americans are use to American self-gratification. Let me give you another couple examples that you all have set yourselves as global leaders...

Baseball - "World Series" - Exactly how many other countries have a chance to vie for this title in order for it to be called a "World" series.

NFL football - the commentators commonly call the SuperBowl champions - World Champions. I dont remember any other countries involved in the NFL to truely challenge for the title.

Your President - "Leader of the Free World" - Well although he does carry a lot of clout in world affairs he officially is only the leader of the USA and no other country takes their orders from him. Until their is an actual position of "Leader of the Free World" whereby each country can vote - the position and the person don't exist except in the minds of most Americans.

I dont want to get into a pissing contest with you all but these fancy titles you impose upon yourselves is only self-gratifying. The rest of the world quietly chuckles and goes along with it.

Again, I'm glad that you feel you have the best Government in the world but please be sure to understand other countries like Canada would strongly diagree with you. I have no problem with our Government. At least our Government is not lead by the nose from special interest groups (most of them corporate or industry influences) instead of the average tax-payer / voter. I like knowing that my goverment looks out for me first!

Again, lets agree to disagree. I very much like my neighbours to the south, but I love living here!
