I know the feeling. Sometimes, waiting is good. I like to get in on the ground floor, mainly in companies that are seeking less than a million. Even though it can take longer before they go public, I find that you are able to get more of an equity stake, sometimes for as little as 5 cents a share, before they do a secondary PPM for a dollar a two a share, a few months after that. I like to know the people I deal with. I get most of my private placements now, from an investment company that specializes in just that. What really struck me about them is that they don't "push" anything. They tell you the facts clear and simple. Also they feel a responsibility to the investor and not entirely to the company. They want to help the company and the investor, so they are both happy. They are honest, and in their words "We like to be able to sleep at night, knowing that we are dealing with good companies, and hope the investor can feel the same level of comfort as us."
