I received unsolicited comments from folks who appear to be ex-ASFT employees. It appears as though as a result of the posts I have written here and my attendance at way too many annual meetings, they think I may be sympathetic to their cause. Of course my only concern is that the business be run like a business, that the assets are used in the best way to benefit shareholders. I also expect management to be accountable and successful. The world is awfully competitive and this business has squandered away an awful lot of excellent opportunities and a lot of shareholder dough. I thought that was beginning to change but I am genuinely concerned about the pace of change. I also wonder if the right management is in place.
There is nothing messy, just previous employees who are voicing similar concerns. The question that we as shareholders must visit is are they right? Clearly the only way we as outsiders can look at this business and draw any conclusion is to look at the business and its growth. The problem with ASFT is they do not break out numbers so you have difficulty judging the growth in different areas of the business.
I continue to feel the CT business has a shot to be a homerun. I guess I anticipated faster progress but clearly the infrastructure was not in place for a fast start. I guess the next couple of quarters will tell..
