Denis, you are right. Ashton's first results for k14c 1&2 only comprised of less than 100kg of kimberlite. This amount of material only shows that a pipe is or is not diamondifferous. No economic potential can be determined at this early stage and any carat per ton values at this stage would be VERY irresponsible. The carats per ton value was given at the mini-bulk stage. I'm not sure of exactly how much material needs to be processed before they change the reporting standards but I do know that early stage micro tests use a different processing methods than that of a bulk sample.(caustic fusion versus Dense Media Seperation) This might be where ACA decide to switch for micro counts to carats per ton counts.
