Hi Colleen. I realize their are differring etiquettes on threads, but since my initial membership, I have always treated Caps as being an "attention" getter!!
During the period in question, there was roughly 20 new posts per minute. Most people only had time to cruise thru these posts. I intended on ensuring some of the novice investors "put their feet on earth" and had time to think about the "bull vs bear vs pig". I never profess to know when anyone else should sell. I do however, know when a stock has lost momentum and if people are thinking of covering their initial positions, where to sell. $1.50 was it!
I have no ulterior motive, I enjoy what I do and prefer to see people with cash in their accounts, shares in their hands and a smile on their faces. For those that were able to sell at $1.50 they are now able to double-up around .75c, if they so wish. (I wouldn't, but thats me)
I think SI serves good purpose. I think where your complaint lies, if I may be so bold, is the same as mine.
SI is a paid membership, the things posted to these threads should be seen by members only, and not to attract future memberships as it is now. It is unfortunate that in the process of trying to help out fellow investors, one has to worry about 10,000,000 non-member lurkers, the SEC, the CIA, the FBI, (and the most feared) CSIS as well!! Add to this the unscrupulous broker/brokerage/MM firms who likely post here and you have "what we have"!
