RE: Del came on board, then they just couldn't wait to get their hands on the income to purchase overpriced companies -Open, (not Del's but he obviously fell in line with VLSI).
I did not realize that Del was getting INPR into the semiconductor business. :-)
Del Yocam has changed the strategic direction of BORL/INPR. In this day of instant gratification, the urge is to want changes to have an immediate impact in shareholder value. I struggle with the lack of growth in INPR over the short term. But, I currently find no real problems with Del's strategy or vision. I am a developer, and from my perspective, he is moving the company and the products in the right direction. VSGN was a good acquisition from a technology perspective. I think that it is too early to make final judgment on the price. The INPR bottom line over the next few Q's will answer that question. Early on, many critics claimed that IBM was paying too much for LOTS (and that the deal made no sense). TIme as answered the critics.
Remember that the same market that has valued INPR at $378M (~2X Revenues) has valued YHOO at 10.6B (~100X Revenues). These absurd valuations will, in time, correct themselves. History has proven that. I suggest that INPR is undervalued, and it will not take the market long to figure that out. My only issue for Del is
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DON"T DISAPOINT US THIS Q.
BTW: The question is not whether to short YHOO or not, it is just a matter of when. |
