Thanks Jeff. In the PC Week article a couple thing I found of interest.
First of all Casey Cowell will always be my amigo, I have no desire to be his adversary! Bill Schroeder, CEO of DIMD is having a pipe dream, he contends users and ISPs will hold off on buying faster modems until a standard is set which the article indicates could be a year away ....I know who he's talking about, it's Candle stick & Rishi. And Cowell >and he shrugs off the threat from Windows CE. If the market embraces CE, USR will, too. " We're not in the business of protecting our own religion," then he says later about the standard "And if a different standard evolves, USR will simply migrate its software. And finally it sounds like he's calling out Cisco and 3Com, he says USR has put on enough heft to go toe-to-toe with the giants....those CEOs must be under their desks. :-))
Lovin it,
