Dipy: Ref: One nation, One people It is even less likely to happen becaus India itself is a powder-keg of hundreds of kingdoms put together by the British and is displaying all signs of a country that is too large for central governance. It appears that your views could have had some currency at the time of independence some 50 years ago. The founding fathers of modern India, esp Sardar Vallabhai Patel made sure that the union is strong, cohesive and enduring. The union is stronger now than ever before. Punjab is not simmering any more. Tamil Nadu does not talk about a separate nation. Kashmir & Assam situation will be corrected in due course of time. PS: BTW, Did you Yahoo today?
