You're right, though, about that aspect.

But look at some of the pricing structures for US West's DSL offerings. Some of those services are actually priced lower than the ISDN rates they publish, and seem, on the surface anyway, to be pretty good deals.

I guess we can no longer use a broad brush when painting the RBOCs in this kind of situation.

I suspect that the new DSL players will find out the same thing that T found when negotiating copper loop resale rates, though, and that is that the BOCs will keep their pricing high enough for the copper pairs to frustrate many from entering the game. We'll have to wait and see. I wonder how the FON ION issue factors into this decision? Whether some DSL integrators will be able to get a piece of that action? What do you think?
