Yes, it appears Syquest is screwed. With losses piling up, and a stock sure to be de-listed soon, it won't be soon before they go belly-up.

Iomega is also in deep trouble as CD-R takes hold of the market. More CD burners are being sold this next year alone than total Iomega drives sold in history. The non-proprietary CD-R media is dirt cheap- 0.49› at J&R Computer.

Yes indeed, the competition from the entire storage industry is weighing heavily on Iomega's shoulders. IOmega will soon follow Syquest down into the low single digits as margins fall lower and lower.
