Brazil wins in Penalty shoot out 5 x 3 over Holland. (after 1 x 1 tie) Yes not the best of Victories I will agree, but the skill of both the Brazilian shooters and the hero of the day Taffarel saving two penalties makes it possible for Brazil to go to the final. I am sorry for the Dutch team having to lose this way, great effort that nearly paid off but no cigar.... The second half was a tad better than the first but really nothing to be amazed at. The Brazilian defense to their credit neutralized Berkamp, who was not allowed to do much at all, Kluivert finally was able to convert, which caught Tafarell guessing which way the ball would go, tied the game. And so now we wait for the France -vs- Croatia game tomorrow, unless an upset by the Croats We will have Brazil against the locals on Sunday, no doubt (we hope), an emotional game. Goldfinger, I am sure you are disappointed, but you were close... Three more games and the fest will be over for 4 years. Z.
