1. 2500 page report over a year, not in english. error completely immaterial (less than 1/2 percent margin of error)
2. late filings, no kidding. a cpa in denver trying to work with auditors in bolivia to transfer this huge project from their standards to our 'gaap'. geeez, how simple. this cpa is not only a genius but a workaholic imo. If he reads this thread, I will be happy to fly out at my own expense to Denver to help in any way I can, just for the honor of working with such an individual.
3. Mr Turner immediately getting a new engineering firm to verify results AGAIN. Fighting with financing from Europe. Spending half his time fighting off sec and trying to come through for shareholders. All while trying to keep his reputation and live HIS life. Heres to Mr Turner, this is one person behind you 100%.
4. sec makes it all appear as though the co. cannot be trusted due to the facts of tardiness and immaterial errors when it is in fact, the direct fault and constant hampering by the sec all this time that has been a very large part of the cause.
5. Gary Strauss or WSJ or Rocky Mt. Chronicle or whatever, the challenge is to find out what the real story is here, the gold imo is clearly there, who benefits the most by making GE look less than ethical to the public, and as a result seriously hampering them financially and making it virtually impossible for them to comply with deadlines. 'We want it all now, and it better be perfect, but be sure we will find immaterial discrepancies and blow them up even if you do get it now'. no win situation. why?
6. Lets hope this new eng. firm can verify closely the results, there will be discrepancies, there has to be, and lets hope they can do it in a timely fashion. Imo we could use a jv soon but I just dont see this being a problem, if the gold is there they will come. Imo it is going to take a bigger player with more funds to fight this battle because at this point I do not think any verification is going to be good enough for GE alone.
7. IMO, I am more convinced now than ever the gold is there and it is plentiful.
