They are based on analyst reports - GEO has only 2 analysts (both of which give it a strong buy) meanwhile Kinross has FOUR analysts giving it a strong buy and one a lesser recommendation. So according to Yahoo GEO is ahead of Kinross which is completely nonsensical. Mind you I still think GEO is a good buy - just that the Yahoo ranking is pretty flakey.
