My guess is that it will take 3 or 4 quarters to get the wireless division turned around. There still is the big satellite deal due late this year, which should move the stock. They have very impressive optical(laser communications) intersatellite links due out in the fall of 2000. They should be getting orders for this very, very, impressive new system throughout 1999 & 2000. There is still a glut of satellites in Asia, & poor demand throughout Asia. Motorola is building several multi billion dollar plants in Asia over the next two years to try to recapturer more of the wireless business -( down to 10% in Asia) My friends are still holding Com Dev for the long term. I will probably be building a position in Com Dev over the next year; assuming no recession, in most of the G7.
