PF, I agree that many battered stocks do and can come back. The problem is finding the low, and riding that turnaround and it seems always easier done after the fact than before. Secondly all the stocks you mentioned were companies that had made progress after 5 years of going public. Do you know that GVIL has pretty much been a disaster since they went public. They went public in 94 at about $12 and after all this time anyone who believed in the management is down to $.60 shares. I don't really call that a gamble worth taking. Yes Micron went down from its IPO but after 4 years of going public it did get back to its original IPO price. GVIL is on 4 years and is trading at an all time lows in its history. I will wait until GVIL goes back to $12 before I consider buying it. Somehow I don't think I will be owning this company in my lifetime, but I've been wrong before.
